As Bradford continues to bask in a heatwave, there was brief respite this afternoon as the heavens opened for a brief downpour.
The day had been overcast and muddy but, after weeks without seeing a drop of rain, many people had clearly not been expecting to be in line for a soaking.
If you missed the shower, you've probably got a long wait for the next one: temperatures are due to continue in the mid-20s all week with no more rain currently forecast.
