WHARFEDALE'S Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) has been rated outstanding by NHS England.

This follows an assessment of the organisations’ leadership, financial position and performance against the NHS England Improvement and Assessment Framework (IAF) key indicators as well as improvements made across a number of clinical indicators.

Dr James Thomas, clinical chairman of NHS Airedale, Wharfedale and Craven CCG said: “We have made real progress over the last two years to strengthen our financial position. I am pleased our local health and care partnership – ourselves, councils, hospitals, mental health services, GPs and communities – are working together to transform how we deliver integrated services that reduce unplanned admissions to hospital and improve people’s experiences.”

Chief officer of the CCG, Helen Hirst, said: “These ratings are fantastic and recognise the hard work that staff, our GP members and our partners – including the people of Bradford district and Craven - are putting in to make sure health, care and support services are fit for the future.”
