CALDER Valley Search and Rescue team helped in the evacuation of an injured cyclist who had fallen from his mountain bike in woodland near Esholt this morning.
The team was alerted by Yorkshire Ambulance Service to assist at around 11.16am.
The man had sustained a suspected fractured collarbone.
Once on scene, team members assisted the ambulance crew to reduce the casualty’s pain, then once comfortable he was packaged in a vacuum mattress and stretchered a short distance from the woodland to the waiting ambulance.
