Firefighters from Keighley and Shipley were called to a moorland blaze at Long Lee Lane, Keighley
A MOOR fire broke out in Keighley this afternoon.
Firefighters from Shipley and Keighley were called to the blaze at Long Lee Lane at around 4pm.
Watch Commander Joe Brady, of Keighley Fire Station, said the fire was around 100 metres by 50 metres and had gone up a quarry face and quite close to houses.
The cause of the fire is not yet known.
Firefighters used beaters and large jets to bring the fire under control and they were at the scene until around 5.30pm.
