A BRIGHOUSE pub has been named one of Yorkshire's favourites at a prestigious awards ceremony.
The Millers Bar, Brighouse, came in second place at Welcome to Yorkshire's annual contest (pictured).
The Shibden Mill Inn, Halifax, took the top spot while the Fairfax Arms, Gilling East, Ryedale, came in third.
The awards were presented at the Welcome to Yorkshire stand at the Great Yorkshire Show, with Emmerdale's Chris Chittell, who plays Eric Pollard, on hand to help.
Sir Gary Verity DL, Chief Executive of Welcome to Yorkshire, said: “Competition was incredibly fierce this year with a record number of 800 pubs across the county in the running - and with more votes placed than ever before, it proves once again that Yorkshire pubs remain at the heart of each community and are greatly appreciated by all.”
