Bradford Literature Festival basked in sunshine during its opening weekend.
Events took place throughout the city, including free drama shows next to the Mirror Pool.
Improptu, fun performances took place in the city centre for the hundreds of children cooling off while enjoying the sun in the Mirror Pool.
A stage set up on the side of the attraction brought in the crowds as one show offered a different twist to Disney's Maleficent.
Fans of literature and the arts can look forward to a pack schedule of events over the next few days, including talks from authors, journalists and writers.
