WORLD CUP fever has officially come to Bradford with a duo cladding their street in all things England.

With just two days to go until the biggest festival of football, Bradford pair, Justin Waterhouse and Barry Lawton have decorated their whole street in the white and red of our nation, as they have done for the past 14 years.

“England Hill”, otherwise known as Heaton Hill, sees flags erected on the outside of houses, as well as bunting strewn across the whole street.

Mr Waterhouse, 47, said: “It seems a year never goes by when I'm not stuck up a ladder or hanging from a roof tile decorating the street! All the neighbours get involved and we get really good feedback from passing cars.”

He also wanted to thank the duo’s “supervisors”, Sarah Waterhouse and Julie Lawton, for all their help and for supplying the beer – once the flags were up of course.

Mr Lawton speaks of his favourite England memory being when David Beckham scored a 93rd minute free-kick against Greece to take the nation to the 2002 World Cup.

The pair are certainly hoping football is coming home this summer, otherwise they may face the possibility of having to strip all the bunting down by the earliest official exit date of June 28th, if England don’t make it through the group stage.

Think your decorations or organised events can beat this effort?
