BBC Broadcaster Steph McGovern is helping launch a new Skills Service at the Leeds City Region Skills Network’s annual conference next week with the aim of bringing businesses and training providers closer together.
Organised by the West Yorkshire Consortium of Colleges (WYCC), ‘The Future of Workforce Skills’ event will bring together over 200 delegates from the region to hear from leaders in business growth and skills.
Speakers including broadcaster Steph McGovern, Chair of the Leeds City Region Enterprise Partnership, Roger Marsh OBE and Partnership Director for WYCC Louise Tearle will address leaders from colleges, universities, training providers, employer groups and trade bodies.
Mr Marsh said: “This conference brings together businesses, education and training providers from across the region to find solutions and ensure we have the skills needed to drive economic growth and create a strong, successful economy that benefits everyone.”
The event takes place on Tuesday 12 June, at Elland Road in Leeds.
