A CLECKHEATON teenager has appeared in court following a stabbing in Hebden Bridge.
Samuel Smith, 18, of Elm Bank, Bradford Road, Cleckheaton, was charged with the assault of a 20-year-old man, who has been left with serious injuries, in Calder Holmes Park on Saturday afternoon.
He appeared before Bradford Magistrates’ Court yesterday.
Smith will make his next appearance at Bradford Crown Court on Monday, July 9.
A West Yorkshire Police spokesperson said a 19-year-old man who was also arrested in connection with the incident has been released on police bail.
Enquiries into the incident are ongoing.
