Labour councillors were expected to support a proposal for a new secondary school at Thackley - which could have seen the closure of two other schools.
Eccleshill Upper and Woodend Middle faced closure if the plan went ahead.

They had complained it was too noisy and added to Saltaire's parking problems. Mr Rough said he planned to turn down the noise.
