FREE kite-making workshops have been organised across Bradford and Keighley by The South Pennines’ International Kite Festival.
Fly! is a unique community project, set up in partnership by the Handmade Parade artists in Hebden Bridge, Yorkshire Water and Pennine Prospects.
They aim to use the arts and kite making to encourage more people to explore the South Pennine landscape, heritage and culture it provides.
The workshop events will take place at charities, community centres, schools and festivals throughout from June to September.
Upcoming workshops will be held at Bradford Festival in City Park, from noon to 6pm on Sunday, July 15.
People who take part in the workshops will learn the art of kite-making from Handmade Parade artists, making quick and easy kites in the drop-in public workshops and more experimental, collaborative creations in the community workshops.
