AN event celebrating the influence of novelist Jane Austen will be held at a Bradford gallery on Thursday.
City Park-based Impressions Gallery is currently hosting an exhibition featuring work by the winners of the Jerwood/Photoworks Awards.
it includes work by Alejandra Carles-Tolra - who has photographed a community of ‘Janeites’ who celebrate Jane Austen’s work, dressing up in period clothing and performing activities to keep the novelist’s words alive. The photos will inspire a Feed Your Mind event being held at the gallery from 12.30pm to 1.30pm.
Marilyn Joice from the Jane Austen Society will discuss the author’s life as well as her most famous works.
The event is free, and no booking is required.
