THE Lord Mayor paid a visit to a care home to officially reopen its cafe.
Councillor Zafar Ali visited Cooper House Care Home, Cooper Lane, to mark the occasion.
The cafe will be a sociable area for residents and their families to visit and will host weekly Friday coffee mornings.
The Lord Mayor cut the ribbon and employees, families and residents came together to enjoy a buffet and music.
Sarah Horner, Home Manager, said: "We were delighted the local mayor could come and support the home and we were thrilled to open the cafe.
"It will be the hub of the home. It is a warm and comforting and lively place for residents and their families to relax and enjoy a tempting treat from our new look menu. We hope to see many residents and their families and friends visiting regularly.”
