A DALES High Way, the 90 mile long distance trail from Saltaire to Appleby-in-Westmorland, is 10 years old this year and the anniversary is being recognised with a series of walks.
Created in 2008 by Saltaire couple Tony and Chris Grogan it now attracts walkers from all over the world.
To celebrate the 10th anniversary Friends of A Dales High Way are leading a series of walks along the route starting with the first 7.5 miles from Saltaire to Ilkley on Saturday, May 19.
The walks will be free but those taking part will have pay for their public transport to and from the walk.
Walks will vary from seven miles to 13 miles in length and on some sections both train and bus journeys will be required.
