A Burnley woman who stole to fund her heroin habit was given a chance to mend her ways.
Blackburn magistrates made Grace Elizabeth Taylor subject to a drug rehabilitation requirement and warned her that if she didn't change her ways she would be going back to prison.
Taylor, 25, of Dall Street, pleaded guilty to stealing three handbags worth £229 from TK Maxx. She was made subject to a community order with a six months drug rehabilitation requirement, fined £5 and ordered to pay £85 costs and £85 victim surcharge.
Mark Williams, defending, said Taylor had the support of her mother but needed professional assistance with her drug problem.
"She appears to be motivated to change her ways," said Mr Williams.
