A BRADFORD academic has been honoured in China, and aims to use the recognition to bring opportunities to the district.

John Baruch a has been made a visiting professor at the Innovation Centre of Tsinghua University in Beijing, often called the Chinese Cambridge.

He works at the Design Exchange in Little Germany at the company e4i4 ( Education For the 4th Industrial Revolution) where he helps prepare ways to educate people for upcoming industrial changes.

He has set up the world’s first Education Centre for the 4th Industrial Revolution at Leeds Beckett and is now running the world’s first workshop on education for the 4th industrial revolution in Beijing.

He worked with the University of Bradford for 25 years and said he is pleased to receive the honour and hopes that his links will bring trade and jobs to Bradford.
