PARENTS and children at a Bradford school have been learning more about the benefits of healthy eating and sport.
Youngsters at Beckfoot Heaton Primary School, in Heaton, are taking part in the ExerScience project - run by Little Sports Coaching and funded by Enable2 CIC, over the next 12 weeks to find out how they can exercise and eat healthily on a fixed budget.
Parents are finding out about why it is important not to miss breakfast and how to make a five-a-day fajita, mash with hidden veg and veg filled spaghetti bolognese.
Sophie Findlay, PE teacher, said: "For parents, it gives them an opportunity to find out about healthy eating in an informal sociable setting, while their children are taking part in a range of fun activities, encouraging healthy lifestyles for all."
