A MUM-of-two who shed nearly four stone in just nine months has taken over a new Slimming World group at Kingswood Community Centre.

Caroline Warburton was inspired into action after the death of her grandma which was the wake-up call she needed to take control of her health and emotional wellbeing.

The former Culcheth High School student signed up for Slimming World when she hit 12st 6lbs.

Nine months after beginning her journey, Caroline reached her goal weight of 8st 10lbs and claims the key to her success has been the support of other people going through the same problems.

Caroline has now taken over a new group at the community centre on Wednesday from 5pm to 7pm.

She said: “With obesity being the second biggest preventable cause of cancer after smoking, the issue is a growing concern for the NHS.

“I would love to help as many people as possible achieve their weight-loss dreams.

Caroline, who has also discovered a love of cooking, has previously launched her own slimming group in Hood Manor to share her experiences.

The Slimming World group meets at St James’ Church on Canons Road every Monday at 7pm.
