POLICE investigating a report of a woman being assaulted in Shipley say they are "satisfied that no offences have occurred.”

A large police cordon was put in place on Valley Road yesterday following reports of an assault.

The woman reported the assault herself to staff at the nearby Nisa Local convenience store, who contacted police at just after 5.50am.

Police have today revealed they are no longer investigating the incident and that the woman has been "spoken to."

A spokesman said: "Following further investigation, police can confirm they are no longer investigating a report of an assault at this location.

“The woman has been spoken to and police are satisfied that no offences have occurred.”
