A "TARGETED attack" in Keighley in the early hours of this morning left a man in hospital with serious injuries.

Police have today appealed for anyone with information on the incident to come forward.

A spokesman for West Yorkshire Police confirmed that the man had been taken to hospital with a serious arm injury.

He added: "The man, who is in his 40s, was also found to have suffered leg and back injuries.

"Enquiries are at an early stage but it is believed he was assaulted in the Selborne Road area at about 2.30am today.

"A collision where a silver Hyundai Accent struck a wall in Oakworth Road at around the same time is also being linked to the assault, which is being treated as a targeted attack.

"Anyone with information which may assist the investigation is asked to contact Bradford District CID on 101, quoting crime reference 13180110693.

"Information can also be reported anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555111."
