PLANS to turn an empty shop in Eccleshill into a micropub have been submitted to Bradford Council.
John Stein plans to convert 98 Victoria Road, made up of an empty shop and attached living accommodation, into a bar that would "appeal to over 25s."
The first floor will remain as residential use, while the ground floor is turned into a bar serving specialised ales.
The application says: "The applicant envisages that the product will appeal to the over 25s demographic who are looking for a peaceful and relaxing surrounding in which to enjoy the various flavours of traditional ales on offer.
"The bar will have no music and no food service and has purposely been chosen to offer compact, intimate surroundings where good conversation and a friendly atmosphere are substantially more important than high volume sales."
A decision on the application is expected next month.
