THE Charity Commission is looking into “serious concerns” about a sexual health charity with offices in Bradford.
The Commission has said it is engaging with Yorkshire MESMAC, an umbrella organisation which includes the Blast Project for boys at risk of sexual abuse, after former trustee Heathcliffe Bowen, 50, of Ilkley, was jailed for offences including grooming young boys.
MESMAC, which has also faced criticism over its employee code of conduct, has said background checks were being undertaken for trustees.
