With weather across the Bradford district alternating between heavy snow and heavy rain, the Met Office has issued a yellow warning for ice.
As temperatures begin to creep above freezing for the first time in more than a week, snow is melting and then re-freezing, causing potentially dangerous driving conditions.
A Met Office Chief Forecaster said: "A combination of low temperature and surfaces being wet from rain, sleet or snow and a partial thaw of lying snow will lead to icy stretches affecting untreated surfaces. The greatest risk is expected to be in rural areas and higher routes."
The weather warning will remain in place until 11am on Monday morning.
