WINTRY conditions are still causing disruption across the Bradford district today.

The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for ice, which will be in place until 11am tomorrow.

A spokesman warned of difficult driving conditions and an increased risk of slips and falls, adding: "Icy stretches will continue to be likely on untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths during the rest of Saturday onwards into Sunday."

Leeds Bradford Airport is open, but has warned travellers that some of its flights have been delayed because of the weather.

The M62 has now fully reopened across the Pennines, after being closed on Thursday because of heavy snow and strong winds between junctions 24 (Huddersfield) and 21 (Milnrow) westbound, and between junctions 21 and 22 (Saddleworth) eastbound.

Highways England posted on Twitter: "A reminder to those who won't have seen the Tweets issued in the early hours of this morning that the M62 across Greater Manchester and West Yorkshire has fully reopened between J20-J22 (east) and J24-J21 (west). Many thanks for your patience during this closure."

Meanwhile, tomorrow's game between Bradford Bulls and London Skolars at Odsal is off.

A pitch inspection this morning confirmed that an area of the surface was deemed too dangerous and the decision was taken to postpone on safety grounds.

Supporter safety and access was also taken into account as well as the distance London would have to travel tomorrow morning.
