A DISCARDED cigarette caused a small fire at a flat in Bingley.
Firefighters were called to Dryden Street at around 2.40am.
A West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said a cigarette had been thrown into a bin liner and had caused a fire inside a kitchen bin.
It did not spread any further and the occupant was alerted to the fire by the flat's alarm system.
