A MAN suffered "serious" injuries after being hit by a car on one of Bradford's busiest roads.
The pedestrian, thought to be in his 40s was knocked down by a car on Shipley Airedale Road, near where it becomes Canal Road, at 7.40pm yesterday.
He was taken by Yorkshire Ambulance Service to Leeds General Infirmary with suspected limb fractures.
The road was closed by police while the man was treated, and officers investigated the collision.
A police spokesman today said the man had suffered "serious but non-life threatening injuries."
No arrests have been made.
