RESIDENTS in an area or Bradford are being warned to be on the look out for a man purporting to be a windows and doors salesman.
A man visited a house in the Thorpe Edge area between 2.45pm and 3.15pm yesterday claiming to be selling doors and windows, and was wearing a badge that said Safestyle UK.
The man tried to put his foot in the doorway of the house to stop the resident closing the door, and when the male was told the occupant was not interested, the man became aggressive and his behaviour became erratic.
He left and was then seen knocking on the door of a house belonging to a vulnerable elderly woman trying to get her to answer the door.
West Yorkshire Police has said Safestyle UK has confirmed the man does not represent the company, and that Safestyle personnel are usually smartly dressed and have an ID badge with their name and ID number.
Anyone concerned can ring Safestyle on 0800 0730101 to confirm the identity of any staff member.
