A PROFESSOR from the University of Bradford joined activists in London to say "time's up" to issues including sexual abuse and gender inequality.
Uduak Archibong, professor of diversity, spoke to crowds at the event, which she said was attended by more than 7,000 people.
Uduak said: "The event is about getting people who would normally be silent to come forward and do something. That's empowerment. People felt they had the opportunity to have their voices heard.
"The atmosphere was electric. My real hope is that we won't go back home and see things carry on as normal. This march should be carried on through our places of work and through government on a daily basis."
She urged crowds to challenge misogyny, discrimination and oppression. She said she was proud of the University of Bradford for handing back an award it received last November after the ceremony was deemed sexist and a "throwback" to the 1970s.
