A NEW fusion restaurant combining Caribbean and African cuisine is set to open on Great Horton Road.
Manjaros, which already has branches in Leeds and Middlesbrough, is due to open its doors on January 25 according to Rafiq Ali, who owns the franchise.
He said the eatery will have a dessert parlour upstairs and a separate express bar where customers can collect takeaways.
Mr Ali said: "We have been developing the site for about eight months.
"It's a popular restaurant. It's very popular among young people so that's why we're near the university."
He said the restaurant chain's most popular dish is their parmesan chicken, which originates in Middlesbrough, and there are a number of parmesan choices on the menu.
"It's not the healthiest option. Most people like it," he added.
The restaurant, which will open on the former site of The Shearbridge pub, is looking to employ 20 staff.
Mr Ali said it will be managed by owner Abid Hussain.
He added that there are plans to open branches in Glasgow, Newcastle, Huddersfield, Preston and London in the future.
