FIRE crews from Odsal and Cleckheaton have been out tonight attending a fire at the former Yorkshire Martyrs School, in Tong.
Two hose reels were used to extinguish the fire in what is thought to have been the old projector room.
Bits of wood and paper had been set alight.
The callout was made at around 8.40pm and firefighters spent over a hour putting out the fire and damping down.
A spokesman said the fire was not big, but was hard to reach.
"It is getting very dangerous in there with the floor rotting in places, not only for people going in there and starting fire, but for the rescue services who have to go in afterwards and sort the fires out. We needed two lots of ladders to access the inside."
