A PROPOSAL to turn a derelict building formerly owned by Halfords into a foodstore has been given the go-ahead by Bradford Council.
The plans will see the empty building, in Leeds Road, Thornbury, renovated to become a single storey foodstore.
The 15,000 sq ft building will also have a small extension built and car park created, with space for 51 cars.
It will see the large site in Leeds Road reinvigorated after standing empty for a number of years.
Planning officer Matthew Aveyard said it is an “appropriate use” for the site.
