WINDS of up to 70 mph are expected to hit Yorkshire this evening and the Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for the region.
A spell of strong gusts is predicted across the north of England, Northern Ireland and Scotland, beginning at about 6pm today and continuing overnight.
But forecasters are still uncertain about where the strongest winds will be.
The worst of the weather is expected to miss Bradford but heavy showers have been predicted from about 11am to 1pm and from 8pm this evening.
