A vehicle has been stolen at gunpoint in the Bradford district.

Police were called to Hollin Head in Baildon at 9.42pm yesterday.

Firearms officers and the NPAS helicopter were deployed to the area to carry out a search for the vehicle, a grey Land Rover Discovery Estate, and the vehicle used by the suspects, which was believed to be a people carrier – possibly a Vauxhall Zafira.

The victim, a man in his 50s, was unhurt.

The Land Rover was discovered abandoned a short time later in the Baildon area and has been recovered for further tests.

The suspect is described as an Asian male, who is of slim build and believed to be in his early twenties.

He was believed to be wearing a grey hooded top and a cream woolly hat.
