PLANS have been submitted to turn two shops into a micropub.

The change of use proposals put before Bradford Council are for 4 to 6 Bradley Road, Silsden, which, according to planning documents, include a former butchers shop and soon-to-be vacated barbers.

A heritage statement forming part of the application states: "While the stores at 4 to 6 Bradley Road, Silsden, lie within the conservation area of Silsden they are not listed buildings.

"The owner recognises the value of the street scene in Silsden and while they wish to change the use of the properties they do not wish to affect the ambience of the area.

"It is proposed that the current butchers shop, which has been empty for one year, and the barbers shop, which is about to be vacated, should be converted into a micropub.

"This alteration will only affect the interiors.

"There will be no change to the window openings or doors. The somewhat dilapidated roofs will be renovated and replaced with stone slates to match the existing."
