PEOPLE with inspiring careers have been helping to raise children’s aspirations for their own lives.
The week-long initiative, dubbed Inspiring Bradford, has seen a host of people from Dame Mary Archer, chairman of the Science Museum Group, to Carolyn Fairbairn, director general of the CBI, visiting primary and secondary schools.
Many of the schools have hosted quizzes, where pupils have to ask the guests questions to guess what job they do. The exercise is designed to challenge stereotypes young children often have based on gender and ethnicity.
