STUDENTS from the Independent Living course at Bradford College have welcomed an extra class member – the college principal, David Harwood.
Mr Harwood joined 44 students for their weekly sports session at the college’s Trinity Green campus today.
Run by the Physical Activity for Disabled People project, the classes allow students to play games and sports and learn about health and fitness.
Mr Harwood enjoyed playing basketball, tag and a number of other activities with the group, aged 16 to 25-years.
The Independent Living pathway offers a bespoke programme of study for students with learning difficulties and/or disabilities who are working towards Entry Level 1 qualifications and can enable progression into further learning, independent living or supported employment.
