WEST Yorkshire Police's helicopter was scouring the skies above Bradford in the early hours of today.
NPAS Carr Gate was called to the district at 2.15am to search for a stolen vehicle.
However, the helicopter crew tweeted that after patrolling above Bradford the search, in several areas of the city, had been unsuccessful and there was no sign of the vehicle.
The helicopter was on scene for just under half an hour.
A West Yorkshire Police spokesman said: "Police were conducting enquiries in Bradford yesterday evening at around 10.04pm to reports of a vehicle using a cloned registration plate.
"National Police Air Service were requested to assist with enquiries."
