POLICE are looking for a man who might be able to help with an investigation into a "serious" offence in Bradford.

A 35-year-old man has been arrested as part of the ongoing safeguarding investigation, and police today asked for information to help trace a man who may be a key witness.

The man was described only as an Asian male who appeared to be "small in stature." He is thought to have been driving a black Volkswagen Golf in the Tong Street area between 2.30am and 2.45am on Sunday July 30.

The investigation is being conducted by Bradford District Safeguarding Unit and concerns a serious offence for which a 35-year-old man has been arrested and released pending further enquiries.

Detective Inspector Michael Ryan, said: “We believe this male spoke to a female who was waiting for a taxi in Tennis Avenue between 2.30am and 2.45am.

“He seemed concerned about her welfare and waited nearby in his vehicle until her taxi arrived.

“We need this male to come forward and speak with our officers as we believe he may have information which could be key to the progress of an ongoing investigation.”
