A TRAVEL company has re-located its city centre branch to the Broadway Shopping Centre as part of its push to open stores in “high footfall” areas.
Thomas Cook officially opened a “Discovery” branch in the centre, with the Kirkgate branch closing down.
Kathryn Darbandi, director of retail and customer experience for Thomas Cook UK, said: “I’m delighted to officially be opening the new Discovery store at the Broadway Shopping Centre in Bradford, a city Thomas Cook has been a part of for many years.
“It’s another exciting step in our journey to ensure all of our stores across the country are best equipped to meet the changing needs of our customers today.”
It is the eighth Discovery shop, which Thomas Cook has opened in higher footfall areas including shopping centres and out-of-town retail parks.
But the move leaves another empty unit in the Darley Street/Kirkgate area, shortly after Game left Darley Street for Broadway.
