A BRADFORD shopping centre has become a set for a popular soap opera.
Two scenes from ITV soap Emmerdale were filmed at The Broadway today.
One of the scenes being filmed saw Jai Sharma, played by Chris Bisson, come out of the centre’s H Samuel store with a bag containing a mystery gift.
He is then seen stopping outside the shop and looking at his purchase before walking off.
The impromptu film set attracted a crowd of dozens of shoppers this lunchtime.
Ian Ward, general manager of The Broadway, said: "Emmerdale is a real Yorkshire institution, and it was a real pleasure to be able to host filming on our malls.
"Fans were thrilled when they realised what was going on, and I’m excited to see the scenes on my TV screen later this year."
