A MEETING has been organised to discuss the future of a disused railway tunnel in the district.
The Queensbury Tunnel Society is campaigning for the historic tunnel to be transformed into a cycleway.
On Thursday, July 20, the group is hosting a presentation to explain the benefits of preserving it as an extension of the Great Northern Railway Trail towards Halifax.
The meeting will be held at the Great Northern pub, Thornton Road, Thornton, starting from 7pm.
The cafe and bar will be open. Visit queensburytunnel.org.uk for more information about the campaign.
