A LARGE police response was called to a disturbance involving a group of people in a Bradford street.
Police were called to Lumb Lane, Manningham, at just after 10.35pm yesterday, following an anonymous report of men fighting which knives, which was later dismissed and was instead a dispute over a car.
An onlooker told the Telegraph & Argus last night: “There is a lot of police on Lumb Lane.
“There is loads of cars parked outside and lots of people there is also a big police van. Maybe a large disturbance, not too sure.”
A West Yorkshire Police spokesman today confirmed: “The incident in Lumb Lane turned out to be a dispute over a car where no offences were reported.
“The initial report which came in anonymously mentioned men fighting with knives which generated a large police response.”
