TOP children’s author Billy Bob Buttons has visited a Bradford school to help inspire their pupils to get writing.
The writer (pictured with Haleeda Sahdia Ahmed), has published 16 books, and signed copies of his work for pupils at St Matthew’s CofE Primary School, as well as holding workshops on planning a story, adventure writing, characters and tips for writing.
Children at the school will have a visit later in the school year from Bradford-based storyteller Sue Dyde who specialises in story-based shows and drama workshops for younger children.
Headteacher Kay Remmer said: “The workshops are part of an ongoing programme of ‘Wow!’ experiences for our pupils which will aim to help improve reading and writing outcomes as well as being fun.”
