CREATIVE Baildon residents have been handed a last-minute reminder to enter a writing competition.

The competition, held to celebrate the opening of the Baildon hybrid library, featuring volunteers and staff working together, is open to all Baildon residents, with four categories for entry. These are Key Stage 1 - called a special day in Baildon; Key Stage 2 - A Baildon adventure, teenagers and young adults can enter the Growing Up in Baildon category and anyone aged 18 and above can write on the subject Memories of Baildon.

Pupils from Glenaire Primary School in the town have already submitted their entries.

All entries should be on A4 paper, clearly labelled with the entrant’s name and contact details plus the category they are being entered for. Hard copy versions should be sent to Karen Jones c/o Baildon Library, Hallcliffe, Baildon. The closing date for entries is Monday, June 5.

The winners will be announced at a prize giving event held on June 24, from 12.30pm, at Baildon Library. For more information, go to baildontowncouncil.gov.uk.
