A MAN accused of knocking down and killing a grandfather in an alleged hit and run accident in Bradford, has denied all charges.
Yasser Iqbal, 29, of Norman Grove, Idle, Bradford, pleaded not guilty to three charges when he appeared at Bradford Crown Court.
Iqbal, of short build, and wearing a grey suit, denied causing the death of Kenneth Parratt by careless driving, in Idle Road, Bradford on September 23 last year.
He also pleaded not guilty to causing death by driving while uninsured, and dangerous driving, on the same date.
Judge Jonathan Durham Hall QC fixed a date for a five-day trial, to begin on January 8 next year.
Iqbal was released on conditional bail.
Mr Parratt, 71, of Swain House, Bradford, died after he was struck by a blue Peugeot Bipper van.
