FIVE fire appliances were sent out to tackle a blaze at a derelict school last night.
Firefighters turned out at around 8.30pm last night to tackle the latest in a series of blazes at the Yorkshire Martyrs School, adjacent to Tong High School.
The school has been closed since 2010.

A spokesman for West Yorkshire fire service said: "We could see plumes of black smoke coming up from the building as we were approaching."
Five breathing apparatus were used on the two-storey building which was said to be 50 per cent alight.
"We stopped it spreading to the remainder of the property," said the spokesman.
Crews from Bradford, Cleckheaton, Odsal and stanningley attended along with a specialist command unit from Featherstone. They were at the scene for about four hours.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
