A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of drink driving after a convertible crashed into the front of a business on Queensbury High Street last night.
The grey MG TF sports car mounted the pavement and smashed into Stylez Hairdressers at 7.13pm.
As well as causing significant damage to the front of the car, the crash caused damage to the front of the building as well and knocked a bin from its foundations.
Yorkshire Ambulance Service sent an ambulance, rapid response vehicle and clinical supervisor to the scene, and a 44 year old man was taken to Leeds General Infirmary with a suspected head injury.
A police spokesman said that after the man was treated, he was arrested on suspicion of driving while over the prescribed limit. He has since been released on bail pending further enquiries.
