DETECTIVES today revealed that a shooting was the cause of a major police operation yesterday in Barkerend, Bradford.
Police were called to reports of a firearms discharge at a vehicle on Binnie Street at about 11.55pm on Saturday, April 1.
Officers found a parked van had sustained gunshot damage.
A 33-year-old man was arrested in connection with the incident and has been bailed pending further inquiries.
Detective Inspector Paul Smith, of Protective Services Crime at West Yorkshire Police, said: "Our inquiries remain ongoing but we believe this was a targeted attack and we haven't had any reports of any injuries.
"I would ask anyone who witnessed anything suspicious in the area at the time of this incident to please get in touch.
"I would also appeal for anyone who saw a black Volkswagen Golf driving in the area at around this time to also get in contact with police."
