WOMEN have been urged to get on their bike for a cycling training programme.

British Cycling’s women-only cycling programme, UK Breeze, is led by women for women.

It relies on volunteer ride leaders, known as Breeze champions, to support other women on free, guided bike rides.

Free training courses are being held all over the country for women to achieve ride leadership awards and the next course in the Bradford area is a Level 1 training course at Buttershaw Business and Enterprise College, Reevy Road West, Buttershaw, on Saturday, April 22, from 8.45am to 5pm.

Councillor Sarah Ferriby, Bradford Council’s executive member for environment, sport and culture, said: “The Breeze scheme is great for women who want to just ride with other women.”
