A TOTAL of 192 people watched the first live broadcast of a Bradford Council meeting, it has been revealed.
The authority has set up a webcast service at a cost of £25,000 a year in an effort to boost transparency and the first meeting to be streamed online was Thursday’s budget meeting.
A spokesman said a further 143 viewers used the ‘watch back’ facility after the meeting.
Bradford Council will review the webcasting service after a year to consider its value for money. Pictured is Cllr Val Slater with one of the cameras installed in City Hall’s council chamber.
